Companies that align sales and marketing are "67% more efficient at closing deals and 15% more profitable,” notes a recent Forbes article.
I would add: Companies that align marketing with the goals of other executives such as the CFO and CEO see more efficiency and growth. But in many ways, that’s even harder to achieve.
No one gives you a playbook for creating this alignment. It’s not taught in business schools. That can make it even more frustrating for marketing leaders who want to fix their broken systems while learning themselves, and striving to gain buy-in from their colleagues and peers.
I call that space between marketing and business alignment the marketing credibility gap. I’ve spent years engaging with CFOs to identify the key metrics they prioritize to assess how marketing investments drive pipeline growth and sales outcomes – and closing that credibility gap has been the driving force behind Mperativ.
A few years ago, I started holding CMO Bootcamps, and I've found these in-person opportunities to connect and learn have become powerful change drivers for marketing executives.
This year, we’re launching the Revenue Marketing Bootcamp, a national tour bringing together marketing leaders who want to tie marketing investment to pipeline and revenue—demonstrating their impact on growth and earning the trust of executive leadership.
Obviously, I’m always happy to demonstrate what Mperativ can do. But almost as vital are the opportunities for like-minded marketing leaders to learn and grow together.
That prioritization has served as part of the foundation that Mperativ was built upon, as we created the type of data-based, accurate, of-the-minute analytics and insights platform built for marketers.
I’m thrilled to announce that we’re taking the bootcamps on the road in a way we never have before, coast to coast, North to South, and of course, virtually for those who can’t join us in person.
At each, we’ll dive into creating a standard blueprint for:
- Building the demand engine
- Creating the executive narrative
- A cadence for weekly, quarterly and board reports
Join us.
